Dr. Dawnn Vance, a dedicated philanthropist and emerging leader in the field of pharmacy, was born in Greenville, North Carolina, to Natalie Highsmith and Donald Ross Vance, a Purple Heart Veteran. Dawnn is a Creole American, and her diverse heritage—along with her multilingual fluency in English, French, Arabic, and conversational Spanish—enriches her perspective and fuels her commitment to serving her community. Her mother, hailing from The District of Columbia, boasts a lineage tracing back to Barbados, interwoven with French and Irish roots, which later found their way to eastern North Carolina. Additionally, her maternal grandmother's family holds proud genealogical ties to the historic Tuskegee Airmen. On her father's side, her paternal grandmother's family migrated from East New Orleans to Mobile, Alabama, and onward to Sipsey, Alabama, while her paternal grandfather's family holds deep cultural ties to some of the first Black Texan cowboys and Texas Rangers in Texas, with ancestral roots spanning across both Texas and Alabama. This rich cultural background also includes Igbo, Cameroonian, and Cajun descent. Genetic genealogy further enriches her background through maternal haplogroup connections linked to European lineages, including ties to haplogroup H, which shares a maternal lineage association with historical figures such as the Austrian Hapsburg queen Marie Antoinette.

Raised in a military family environment, Dr. Vance spent her formative years in East New Orleans and North Carolina. She developed a strong sense of community, family, and the importance of service from an early age. Her educational journey began at Stonehurst Elementary and continued through C.M. Epps Middle School, Roanoke High School, and Penn Foster High School, where she demonstrated academic excellence and a commitment to her studies. Seeking to further her education, she took on the demanding role of a semi-truck driver to finance her undergraduate studies at Miller-Motte College.

Driven by a passion for healthcare and a desire to make a meaningful impact, Dawnn pursued graduate studies at South College Knoxville, TN, where she is currently earning her Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD). Her academic efforts are complemented by her real-world experience and commitment to public service, which she exemplifies through her philanthropic endeavors. She is the founder of The FeBe Foundation, an organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in underserved communities. The foundation focuses on providing educational resources, healthcare access, and outreach programs aimed at empowering individuals and fostering community development.
